KT-EQUAL was established in 2009 to extend the remit of SPARC which ended in late 2008. It is funded by EPSRC and will run for four years. KT-EQUAL is designed specifically to provide a platform, publicity and policy representation for researchers involved with developing better design practice and technologies to support older people and disabled people.
This workshop will bring together researchers, inclusive design practitioners and design educators. During the day we will hear about the need for teaching inclusive design, best practice examples of inclusive design teaching, and interactive tools that have recently become freely available online. The afternoon is dedicated to hosting a discussion forum on how to improve the uptake of inclusive design within higher education.
There is no charge for attending the workshop, however registration is essential. To book a place, please refer to the registration page.
