The Ramada Hatfield hotel is opposite the Galleria shopping centre and Hertfordshire University. There's easy access from the A1, M1 and M25 motoways to the hotel and Hatfield train station is half a mile away. Luton Airport is 19 miles from the hotel.

Hatfield railway station - 1.0 miles (1.6 km). Take a taxi from the taxi rank outside the station. Approximately £6

Luton Airport- 12 miles (19 km). Take a taxi from the taxi rank outside the terminal. Approximately £35

Heathrow Airport- 31 miles (50 km). Take a taxi from the taxi rank outside the terminal. Approximately £50

Gatwick Airport- 67 miles (108 km). Take a taxi from the taxi rank outside the terminal. Approximately £100

The M25. Leave the M25 at junction 23, towards Hatfield A1(M). Join the A1(M) and continue for 5 miles until junction 3. Leave the A1(M) at junction 3 (signed Hatfield A1001, St Albans A414). At the roundabout at the top of the slip road, take the second exit onto the A1001 (Comet Way). At the next roundabout take the first exit onto St Alban's Road West (A1057). Continue to the next roundabout. The Ramada Hatfield hotel is on the left-hand side.

The A1(M) Southbound. Leave the A1(M) at junction 4 (signed Hatfield A1001, Hertfordshire A414). At the roundabout at the top of the slip road, take the second exit onto the A1001 (Comet Way). Welcome to SPARC and KT-EQUAL: Knowledge Transfer for Extending Quality Life

SPARC brings together researchers, practitioners and policy makers in ageing. It specialises in communicating the latest design, engineering and biological ageing-related research to all stakeholders, making the case about the benefits for an ageing population of scientific research, and it encourages new blood into ageing research. Although funding for SPARC ended in December 2008, SPARC is continuing to function from the University of Reading within a new initiative - KT-EQUAL which commenced in January 2009. Soon KT-EQUAL will have its own website but for the time being news and information about SPARC and KT-EQUAL events are being handled by the SPARC website.
